Muscle Team Challenge™: Rally for ResearchSaturday, November 1, 2008 |

On November 1, 2008, the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) will hold its Third Annual Muscle Team Challenge™: Rally for Research in the city of Philadelphia. This event will be unlike any other, bringing families, friends and sponsors together and making Philadelphia the home of the greatest one-day fundraising event, serving thousands of adults and children living with 43 neuromuscular diseases.
MDA is challenging families, corporations and individuals to take part in a half marathon walk (13.1 miles) or a 5K family fun walk (3.1 miles). In addition, MDA is inviting businesses to compete in The Corporate Team Challenge, a timed team event in which businesses may enter six of their employees to complete a 30K course (3.1 miles each). MDA will highlight top corporate, team and individual fundraising efforts, and winners will receive prizes and awards.
Festivities continue throughout the day with live entertainment at Memorial Hall in Fairmount Park, the site of the start and finish lines. Corporate exhibitors, sponsor booths, hospitality and food and beverage tents will be located near the start and finish line.
MDA is a voluntary health agency with dedicated partnerships between scientists and concerned citizens. We aim at conquering 43 neuromuscular diseases that affect more than one million Americans.
